From 4-11 August 2024 a public concert series with a repertoire of classical music and jazz/classical crossover took place in the Villa Mettlen in Muri bei Bern. Professors, invited guests and young talents performed. In addition, two prizewinners of international competitions are invited every year - this year the young 11 and 15 years old prizewinners of the European Piano Competition Japan performed. concert. ..
For the opening concert, pianist and Academy co-director Pawel Mazurkiewicz performed a fusion of classic and jazz, the Bernese pianist Simon Bucher performed his declaration of love for the piano, "Bach collides with Star Wars" and the song duo Raísa Ierone (Ssporano) and Pierre Delignies (piano) presented a song recital on the theme of "Love and Nature". The trio Monika Urbaniak (Violin), Amelia Maszonska (Violin) and Pawel Mazurkiewicz lead into the world of Slavic chamber music, Ivan Donchev presented masterpieces of the piano literature and Alexandre Dubach (Violin) and Pawel Mazurkiewicz ended the concert series.
On 10 August the young musical talents of the Summer Music Academy Bern 2024 presented at the Participants concert pieces that they worked on during the masterclasses.

The Bernese pianist Simon Bucher has made a name internationally as a soloist, improviser, chamber musician and song accompanist. The multi-award-winning musician has won prizes at the 10th International Johannes Brahms Competition and the Swiss Musicians' Association.

The duo Raísa lerone (vocals) and Pierre Delignies (piano) delight audiences with music of the highest calibre. In their current programme "Love and Nature", they deal with love and nature, as well as their wide range of emotions.
