Amelia Maszonska is considered one of the best Polish violinists of the younger generation. \nAt the age of 6 she began her violin education.<\/p>\n
In 2008 she started studying at the \u201cSchool of Talents\u201d under Professor Jadwiga Kaliszewska. \nIn 2017 she graduated from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan in the class of Professor Bartosz Bryla and in 2020 from the Hochschule der K\u00fcnste Bern under Professor Monika Urbaniak Lisik. Currently she is continuing her postgraduate studies under Professor Corina Belcea and Bartek Niziol. \nShe has also taken many master classes in music interpretation with Zakhar Bron, Pavel Vernikov, Benjamin Schimd or Augustin Hadelich. She has performed as a soloist with many orchestras in Poland and throughout Europe namely: Argovia Philharmony Orchester, Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn, Brno Philharmony Orchester, Gyor Symphony Orchestra, Staatstheater Cottbus Philharmonisches Orchester, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Poznan Philharmony and Leopoldinum Orchester. As a chamber musician she collaborated with great personalities such as Soyoung Yoon, Bartek Niziol, Dorota Siuda, Vladimir Bukac or Daniel Pezzotti.<\/p>\n
In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious Medal of Young Arts by Wielkopolski Glos. \nShe was awarded many scholarships from foundations like Schenk Stiftung, Lyra Stiftung, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland and Yamaha Foundation.\n\nShe has recieved many awards at international competitons such as: \n\u2022\t1st prize at Kiefer Hablitzel\/Gohner Music Preis (2019)\n\u2022\t3rd prize at the Rahn Musikpreis (2018) in Zurich, Switzerland\n\u2022\tSemi-finalist of the XV Inertnational Henryk Wieniawski Competition and laureate of 5 Special prizes including the Wanda Wilkomirska\u2019s prize for the best performing of K. Szymanowski\u2019s work in Poznan, Poland\n\u2022\tGrand Prix of Concert of the Year (2017) in Szczecin, Poland\n\u2022\tGrand Prix at the International Music Festival & Masterclass in Pila, Poland\n\u2022\t1st place at the XIV International Juliusz Zarebski Music Competition in Poland\n\u2022\t2nd place and special prize at the 21th International Leos Janacek Violin Competition in Brno, Czech Republic\n\u2022\t2nd place and special prize for the best performing of K. Szymanowski at the III Violin Competition in Krakow, Poland\n\u2022\t3rd prize at the I International Grazyna Bacewicz Violin Competiton in Lodz, Poland\n\u2022\t3rd place at the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition in Hungary<\/p>\n
Besides concert engagements, she is also active in the field of teaching: she is the assistant of Professor Monika Urbaniak Lisik at the Hochschule der K\u00fcnste Bern.
